Scenic Stretches and Hidden Gems
Lincolnshire is not exactly what you think of when you think of adventure. The terrain is pretty flat.. There are some great routes that are worth checking out. These routes have winding lanes and big open countryside. Cute little villages. They are perfect for a weekend ride. You can get out of the city and unwind.
Before you go make sure your bike is in shape. Check the tires and the fluids. You do not want to get a tire or have your bike overheat. Check your brakes and lights too. This is especially important if you are going to be riding at night or on roads that are not well traveled. Make sure you have all the gear. You will need a helmet and gloves and some protective clothing. This stuff is important for safety. Safety is always important when you are riding a bike.
The Wolds Way Loop
The Wolds Way Loop is a route that locals love. It starts in Louth. Goes for about 50 miles through the Lincolnshire Wolds. You will see some pretty countryside and some challenging hills. One place you should stop is the village of Alford. It has an old windmill that is cool to see. You can take some pictures. Get a cup of coffee at a cafe nearby. They have some homemade cakes and tea.

The Coastal Ride

If you like riding in the city the Lincoln City Circuit is a route. It is 30 miles long and goes through the streets of Lincoln. You will see some cool old buildings and historic sites. One place you should stop is Steep Hill. It is one of the streets in the UK. It is a challenge to ride up. The view from the top is worth it. There are some shops and cafes at the top too.
Just be careful when you are riding in the city. There are a lot of people walking around and the streets can be narrow. Watch out for pedestrians and cars.. Be careful when you are parking your bike. It can get crowded in the city.
The Market Town Trail
The Market Town Trail is a route that goes through cute little towns. It is 60 miles long and has some really pretty countryside views. Each town has its unique character and there are some great places to stop and eat. One town you should check out is Horncastle. It has some antique shops and cafes. You can find some cool old stuff and get a great cup of coffee.
Just watch out for roadwork and detours. These can be a pain when you are riding.. The scenery and the towns are worth it. Take your time. Enjoy the ride.
Hidden Cafes and Pit Stops
When you are riding it is great to find some cafes and pit stops. Lincolnshire has some places to stop and eat. There are some cafes that're just for bikers and they have some great food and coffee. The Black Horse in Mablethorpe is one place you should check out. It has some breakfast specials. The Red Lion in Wragby is another place. It has a menu and some great service.
